Galactic travels from Tofino back to Calgary

Tofino is a great place to be on Canada day… Angus played a morning show at Tuff Beans to an energetic and partying morning crowd, after Kyle from Tuff Beans helped us sort out our PA system which was missing some forgotten pieces in Victoria. A big shout out to the super vibin locals in Tofino who we got to meet this epic day!!! Kyle also went for best trick at the skate comp just down the street with this gnarly hoola hoop on the step up:

Meanwhile Angus was down at Long Beach Radio playing more tunes

The rest of the trip took us from Golden, to Penticton, Kelowna, back to Revelstoke, all through the Kootenays, and finally home after 5 trying, yet awesome weeks of tour. We spent much of the time in nature, camping, adventuring barefoot in the woods, and lounging with good pals. Check out Light & Soul and Angus Wilson on facebook for more photos, and stories of the tour. many vibes comin at ya all the time – L&S

bc adventure way out west

After some good shop vibes at Evolution in Whistler, we continued up the infamous highway 99 at rally car pace, and made good time on our way past Williams Lake up to the remote and mosquito infested Likely BC, to visit some good friends at a tree planting camp. Despite the hard work, endless bugs, and early mornings, these guys have a great time, and eat like kings!! We spent 2 days at their camp canoeing, scoping wildlife, and checking out the Quinnell Forks ghost town (photos on L&S facebook page). We finished our time there with a mad L&S sale in their mess tent. Much love to all of you and thank you for the continued support! After this we were back into Vancouver for a week of Vancity life, which was a major contrast to the nature we were used to. Angus rocked an intimate show at The Media Club, with Vancouver local Kelsey Grant opening things up, and many friends in attendance

Chris and Carl… our traveling friends from Germany who had a magnetic presence we noticed immediately as we got on the ferry on our way out to Vancouver Island. It wasn’t long before this hip hop duo was busting lyrics and some snappy guitar to passers by on the ferry and Angus and I were fully taking part and dancing a jig. These guys represented the free spirit of humanity, and had no fear to just “go with the flow”. We had a good talk about how people would all be a lot happier if they could relax their self consciousness and get involved in jams and moments such as this on the ferry. Best wishes to these guys who continue to make the world a better place just by existing and spreading the vibes. much love.

This gnarly tree exists out by Tofino, and was one of the sketchiest climbs I took part in during the whole trip. greeeaaat times!!

a bc adventure step one…

A month long journey with Angus Wilson across BC begins in the beautiful East Kootenays

The first days of our trip were spent relaxing and getting all of the last minute details planned out… well at least most of them haha, as it was my first time planning a tour for a musician, so I was doing my best to learn and keep up with Angus who is definitely a professional musician in all sense of the word. Allan and Jackie Kimmel made us feel welcome and at home in Kimberley for a couple of days, and then we shot off and Angus rocked his first show of the tour in Nelson at The Coconut Lounge (all photos are on facebook) While crossing the ferry into Nelson, we ran into this wild cat, Jordan Mcneil-bobb who can freestyle and rant over his guitar and harmonica riffs with a rarely seen passion. Some good times were had and even one of the ferry staff got in on the jam and sang some beatles tracks. Prior to the ferry jam we saw Jordan on the road looking for a ride, and were too full to pick him up. Yet ofcourse it worked out for all in the end, as it continued to for basically the entire trip. It is amazing when you put good vibes out there how they really do come back. check Jordan out on Tractorgrease busting a rant at http://vimeo.com/11568673

Angus Wilson BIO:

Angus Wilson grew up in Calgary, Canada with a passion and drive for one thing. True music. A gifted singer and talented multi-instrumentalist, the buzz around this young songwriters music quickly began to spread when he released his first album, a self produced project released in 2005 called Things I Wish I’d Say that continues to get radio play on indie, and folk stations across the country. His most recent solo album entitled “In the Grey” is evidence of a dedication to growth, and progression in Angus’ art. Inspiration, dedication, creation. As a musician, on a rock stage or in a small cafe setting, Angus Wilson is a must see. But its the truth behind the lyrics and words of his music that continues to bring people back on a human level. The reality is that we already possess everything we need to be successful and happy, and continue to better ourselves as people, and humans on this earth. How we choose to express this joy is completely up to us.
